The Great Wall, with a history of more than 2,000 years, is one of the architectural wonders in the world. It starts in the east at Shanhaiguan, crosses the rugged mountain ranges of Hebei Province, Beijing, Shanxi Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Shaanxi Province and ends up at the Jiayuguan Pass in Gansu Province. Many foreign travelers who come to China are eager to climb the Great Wall. Many of them love the Chinese old saying that “Those who have never been to the Great Wall will never be heroes.”
