Pods burned to cook peas,

Peas weep in the pot:

"Grown from the same trees,

Why boil us so hot?"
Comment: The poem was written by Caozhi (the third son of Cao Cao and Prince Si of Chen, is widely acknowledged as the most accomplished writer and poet of the Jian-an era) while taking seven paces, and he expressed sadness of the fightness between relatives in court.
