A survey themed “2005 what do you work for?” indicates that 78.3% of the interviewed esteem "being respected" as the most valued factor of their work values.

According to a China Youth report, the survey has collected 7,632 valid questionnaires by Apr. 20. Besides “being respected,” the most valued factors include "influence at work" (76.6%), "benefits for personal growth" (74.4%), "sense of accomplishment" (73.1%) and "recognition of one's work" (72.9%)
